I live in Pocatello, Idaho and love flower gardening! Through much trial and error, I've gotten pretty good at it, I think. I've asked tons of questions and bugged plenty of local experts, and am getting the hang of it! Since I've been gardening since January this year because I'm hopelessly obsessed, I thought I'd share my progress and thoughts on all things plantable--and I'll talk about how to do it on the cheap. No need to spend a bazillion dollars AT ALL. If I can do it with NO built-in irrigation system, anyone can do it.
Enjoy!
Oh PS, I'm also a counselor/coach hybrid and my career is a 3-ring circus. More info below, or link to my other blog at http://vocatusidaho.blogspot.com. But enough of that, let's plant stuff!!
PPS: I'm not as much into vegetables (that's my husband's job) or roses. I typically stick to low-water perennials, shrubs, and re-seeding annuals. Some day I'm getting myself an apache plume...
Hello! I am a licensed counselor living in beautiful Pocatello, Idaho and am a two-time layoff survivor and thriver. I love working with individuals and organizations on career, wellness, workplace, communication, motivation, self-esteem, and spirituality issues. I draw my influences from Joseph Campbell, Appreciative Inquiry, Positive Psychology, Existentialism, and additional wellness and spirituality models. I consider my life to be a living laboratory where I apply these principles personally on a regular basis, and so far they're all holding up quite nicely!
I like to keep myself busy in the community as time allows; I have served on the board of the Pocatello Neighborhood Housing Services and have coached Girls on the Run/Girls on Track.
When I am done stretching myself in a million directions (no worries, it's a good stretch) and planning my conquest of the universe, I like to hang at my cozy and historic home (translation: small and old) with my husband, baby girl, and 4-legged menagerie where the biggest drama comes in a red resealable envelope.
